On February 9, more than 30,000 Twitter users shared the names of music and songs they liked in a tweet using the "#musicmonday" hashtag. The week's top songs recorded on twit40.com include two singles each by Lady Gaga,
30 Seconds to Mars, Justin Bieber, and Owl City.
Last week, MusicMonday selections - and purchases of CDs and singles, as reflected on the Billboard charts - were inspired by the previous night's Grammy Awards. A week later, many of the usual suspects are back on the charts.
Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," off the singer's The Fame Monster album, takes back its frequented first-place spot, while "Poker Face," from "The Fame," is also a top ten selection. Owl City also claims two top ten spots, for "Vanilla Twilight" and "Fireflies," two singles from the American synthpop band's Ocean Eyes album.
American pop singer Justin Bieber makes the Music Monday chart with his singles "Baby" and "One Time." The latter comes from his debut studio album, My World, while "Baby," a duet with Ludacris, was released January 18 and is the first single from Bieber's My World 2.0 album, due out March 23.
